Jacob J. Pruemer is a Field Agent with the Niemeyer Agency serving Brother Knights in the counties of Effingham, Champaign, Richland, Clay, and Shelby, as well as a few others throughout Central Illinois.
In 2003, Jacob earned an Associate’s Degree from Lake Land College. He then attended the University of Illinois and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in 2005. He earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 2009, and later completed a Master’s in Business Administration in 2019.
Jacob started as a Field Agent with The Niemeyer Agency in August 2020. He resides in Teutopolis, IL with his wife, Kate, and their 6 children: John, Joshua, James, Clara, Maria, and Sophia. He is a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus member of the Teutopolis Knights of Columbus Council #2874 and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Teutopolis.
Within his council, Jacob and Kate are the newsletter editors and the Pro-Life Chairs. He also participates in various activities in his servicing councils. In the community, Jacob coaches baseball, basketball, and soccer. He is on his parish’s social concerns committee and volunteers with various community events. Some of Jacob’s hobbies include playing sports, traveling, and attending all of his children’s activities.
In his first full year of service (2021), Jacob was the Knights of Columbus Field Agent of the Year for the State of Illinois. He was also named the Field Agent of the Year for the Niemeyer Agency for 2021. He earned Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) and numerous Agent of the Month awards. He then followed it up in his 2nd full year with another State of Illinois Knights of Columbus Field Agent of the Year award, Field Agent of the Year for the Niemeyer Agency for 2022, MDRT, and a couple of Agent of the Month awards.
Jacob also serves as a Knights of Columbus Asset Advisor providing financial and investment services under the Knights of Columbus Asset Advisors for all of Central and Southern Illinois.
